Mercedes sprinter and Polytron MTC

With a Mercedes Sprinter from a Greek company working in the telekom, at the time of placing a telekom mast in a hill their Mercedes sprinter started to roll through a bad hand brake and eventually ended up in a game with stones / rocks.

A big gap has been made in the crankcase with the result that all the oil ran away. The cooling was also leaked due to this action so that the engine was also without cooling water. Because one could not reach the car directly, it took longer before one could come here. The engine has been running for about half an hour before it failed.

It was expected that the engine had been stalled.
Afterwards it appeared that the fuel supply had caused this.

After the opening of the engine block, one expected a chaos. In the end it turned out that the bearings and other things are in a v

ery good condition. (see photos)

The block was eventually assembled with a new gasket set, and could be used again.

With this Mercedes Benz, Polytron MTC has been used for a number of years.

“ In cases of oil or cooling water loss, Polytron MTC can prevent serious damage“
